HW Esta Nambayo the Chief Registrar

KAMPALA: At least 11 Judicial Officers(Registrars and Magistrates) have been shuffled in the interest of improving service delivery in the courts.

Announcing the changes on 11th January 2019 the Chief Registrar, HW Esta Nambayo, said the transfers would be effective on 1 February 2019. She said the changes were made in line with Judiciary's transfer policy as well as the workload needs at individual stations.

"Two of the transferred judicial officers have just returned from study leave abroad and we had to deploy them. The others were moved to fill vacant positions in the newly created Magisterial Areas to take services nearer to the people," said the Chief Registrar, HW Esta Nambayo.

She said that all judicial officers have equal opportunities to serve in different parts of the country to enable personal and professional growth.

The affected judicial officers were asked to conclude all part-heard cases and write/deliver decisions in the next two weeks before moving to new stations.
